The Industrial Technology Institute (ITI) is a Statutory Board functioning within the purview of the Ministry of Science & Technology is a Multidisciplinary Research Institute in Sri Lanka dedicated to the promotion of industrial development through R & D, Contract, Consultancy, Training and Technical Services.
The Institute is seeking dynamic, energetic and resourceful candidates for the following posts. Applications are invited from Citizens of Sri Lanka who possess the necessary qualifications and experience.
1. SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER – (GR. I)
(Field – Environmental Science/Technology)
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
PhD in relevant field and 10 years experience after PhD
2. SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER – (GR. II)
(Fields – Environmental Science/Technology, Materials Science/
Technology)
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
PhD in relevant fields and 04 years experience after PhD
3. RESEARCH OFFICER (GR. IV)
(Fields – Chemistry, Physics, Materials Engineering, Chemical
Engineering, Electronic Engineering)
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
B Sc. Honours degree (04 years) with 1st or 2nd Class Upper in the relevant
field
OR
BSc Honours degree (04 years) with 2nd class lower and Post-graduate degree
(by Research)
OR
BSc degree (03 years) with 1st or 2nd class upper and Post-graduate degree (by
Research)
Salary :
Senior Research Officer Gr. I : HM 1-1 Rs.38530-1100×15-55030/-
Senior Research Officer Gr. II : AR 2 Rs.34550-925×10-43800/-
Research Officer Gr. IV : AR1 Rs.24725-550×05-645×05-770×15-42250/-
Terms of Office for above positions :
The appointment will be initially on contract for a period of one year. Candidates may be absorbed into a permanent position at the end of the period of one year, provided that performance and conduct are satisfactory.

The selected candidates may be entitled to Performance Based Incentives and other benefit schemes implemented by the Institute.

The Institutes operates its own Provident Fund Scheme towards which the employees contribute 10% of the gross salary and the Institute 15%. A further 3% of the salary will be contributed by the employer to the Employees Trust Fund.
