Aflatoxins
Aflatoxins are naturally occurring mycotoxins, known to cause both acute and chronic toxicity in humans and many animals. Hence, this brings the importance of testing the presence of aflatoxins in certain food items before proceeding through the marketing channel. The foods, commonly known to be contaminated with aflatoxin, are cereals (eg: wheat, rice), spices (eg: chilli and chilli-based foods, black pepper), ground nuts, dried fruits, desiccated coconut, coconut oil, and prawns. We offer the detection facility of four main aflatoxins naturally found in food; aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 by HPLC method.
