Residue Analysis Laboratory receives Accreditation for Chemical Testing
The newly established Residue Analysis Laboratory of Industrial Technology Institute received accreditation as a testing laboratory under the field of Chemical Testing having its testing being comply with the accreditation criteria for testing and calibration laboratories as described in ISO/IEC 17025:- at a ceremony organized by the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB) to commemorate the World Accreditation Day on 21st June 2018.
The Residue Analysis Laboratory which was incepted two years ago is well equipped with the state-of-the-art high end analytical instruments such as LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, GC-MS, GC-ECD, GC-NPD,GC-FID, HPLC-UV, HPLC-DAD, HPLC-RID etc and offers extensive trace level detection of residues for a broad spectrum of organic and elemental residues. The laboratory now with 158 accredited parameters in variety of matrices guarantees the accuracy and precision, as well as the reliability of laboratory results produced to the customers.
