The staff at the ITI have been recognized with awards for their contributions to invention, innovation, research, publications, sustainable economic development, and social well-being. Receiving both national and international awards is a testament to their dedication and achievements.
Our staff has received international awards such as WAITRO and Geneva International Invention Awards. In addition, they have received national awards including Presidential Awards, Sahasak Nivavum Award, National Science and Technology Award for Scientists, National Inventors Award, National Research Council Award, National APEX Award, SUSRED Award, CARP Award and DASIS Award.

These awards collectively showcase the institution’s dedication to excellence in various fields and its significant impact at both national and international levels. They are indicators of recognition of their hard work, innovation, and commitment to making a positive difference in their respective fields.

National inventors awards 2019 Gold Medal
Date - August 15, 2019
Gold Medal for Commercialized Category under Technical Field of Agriculture for the Development ‘MASAK P – biopesticide for controlling of Mealy bugs in crops at “Sahasak Nimavum – National Invention Exhibition 2019” organized by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission.

Carp award for excellence in agriculture research

Certificate for Excellence in Agricultural Research 2019 in non-plantation crops category awarded by CARP (Council for Agricultural Research Policy) for the research on Formation of a para-pheromone from local varieties of Ocimum sanctum L. for the control of local fruit and melon flies.

NATIONAL INVENTORS AWARDS – 2018

Industrial Technology Institute won six awards at the Sahasak Nimavum 2018 National Exhibition organized by Sri Lanka Inventors Commission under the patronage of His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka held on 26th October 2018.

International Winning Awards
