The staff at the ITI have been recognized with awards for their contributions to invention, innovation, research, publications, sustainable economic development, and social well-being. Receiving both national and international awards is a testament to their dedication and achievements.
Our staff has received international awards such as WAITRO and Geneva International Invention Awards. In addition, they have received national awards including Presidential Awards, Sahasak Nivavum Award, National Science and Technology Award for Scientists, National Inventors Award, National Research Council Award, National APEX Award, SUSRED Award, CARP Award and DASIS Award.
These awards collectively showcase the institution’s dedication to excellence in various fields and its significant impact at both national and international levels. They are indicators of recognition of their hard work, innovation, and commitment to making a positive difference in their respective fields.
Gold Medal for in the field of Industries & Technology for the invention of “Safety coconut husk feeding mechanism to extract Bristol fibre from traditional fibre extraction processes” at the Presidential award ceremony for inventions organized by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission
