The 6th Biennial Research Symposium of Industrial Technology Institute was successfully held from 07th – 09th November, 2023 along with the World Science Day. The inauguration was held on the 07th November at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla. Honorable (Dr.) Ramesh Pathirana was attended this event as the Chief Guest. Ms.J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara Secretary, Ministry of Industries was invited the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Emeritus Prof. Zhaohui Lin Director, International Center for Climate and Environment Sciences, Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered the keynote address on “Drought variation and changes under a warming climate and its future projection
The Special Guest, Ambassador Dr.Mohammad Nafees Zakaria Executive Director, Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSTATS) had sent a message on the COMSTAT activities and the collaborations with Sri Lanka
Further, two-day technical sessions aimed at sharing and disseminating research outputs of scientists, engineers and technologists was held from November 08 to 09 at the main auditorium of the Industrial Technology Institute.
Outstanding performance of ITI Scientists, Engineering and Technical Staff were felicitated at this event with awards and certificates.
