Essential oils, spices, herbal products & bioassays

The Herbal Technology laboratory offers  services for routine total analyses and chemical analysis of essential oils, distillation and analysis of essential oils from various spices and aromatic plants by GC-FID, GC-MS and GC-MS Headspace analysis. Training programs are also conducted. We use official standard procedures such as ISO, SLS and ASTA standard methods or customer specified test procedures for analysis. Technology transfer of value added products from essential oils is also offered. The analysis of spices is carried out based on the SLS standard procedures.

Herbal technology division of ITI continuously engages in research activities for product development and value addition of herbal based drugs and cosmetics. The manufacturing technology of a wide range of products has been introduced to the market and supports the industry with troubleshooting and process or product improvements as requested by customers.

A series of bio assays are conducted in the Bio-activity laboratory at Herbal Technology section to fulfil the ever increasing demand of  industries related to life sciences, especially in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
